Naples – Keller, Ferdinand (Karlsruhe 1842 – Baden-Baden 1922). Dolce Far Niente. Fishing family at the Gulf of Naples at midday rest beside the boat put up on the beach. The fisherman with guitar, beside of the girl a tambourine. Two further adults & three children in the water, the latter populated by small sailing boats. Right in the back the Vesuvius. Toned wood engraving by Adolf Closs (1840 Stuttgart 1894). (1876.) Inscribed in the stock: A. Closs sc / 1874 Ferd. Keller, otherwise typographically in German as above. 7¾ × 9⅝ in (19.7 × 24.5 cm).
