According to Lipperheide Le 21 after-engraving about 1810 after Dadley’s work of 1799 (Le 17). – With explanation leaf in French-German parallel text.

“ The trowel, the cord, and the way to lay the bricks resemble those in use in Europe … Their bricks are long, broad, and thin and usually have, due to the way they are burnt, a grey-bluish colour … A house of a certain size has a stone base. ”
