Mariposa Cigars, Puebla, Mexico

Cigars – Advertisement for the brand La Mariposa of the cigar factory of Antonio C. Vivo, Puebla. Center is a butterfly (swallow-tail) above of a waterfall, both lined by column ornaments, at their sides a female Indian and a Mexican lady with Mercury baton. Tobacco plants, baggage and others more round the picture thematically off. Lithograph printed in brown at Victor Debray y Ca, México. C. 1900. Inscribed: LIT.DEBRAY Y CA MEXICO., otherwise as above. 28.1 x 37.8 cm.
