In the clouds God the father. – Repression of the Poor / Widows and Orphans. On the right old craftsman with spindle, on the left cripple & woman with child, threatened by club swinging employer. – And when one delays and withholds the Earned Wage from the Workers and Day Laborers. The master of the vineyard, behind his back the slope with the vine, with the full purse in the right, rejecting two workers with their pickaxes requesting their payment. One of the latter piquantly identical with the club swinger before. 4 engravings on 2 sheet. (1679.) Inscribed in German as above & below. C. 3⅜ × 2⅜ in (8.5 × 6 cm).

Each scene then also with VINDICA banner blown by putto. – Works by an anonymous engraver of a catechism of Petrus Canisius SJ, Cologne 1679. – Slightly (sheet 1) to unessentially browned, white tear off of the lower corner in the former.
