Snyders, Frans (1579 Antwerp 1657). Cocks-Fighting. Two gorgeously feathered rivals fighting for the favour of two belles of which only one is interested on the result. In the background the farm. In the same direction after the Berlin picture of 1615 purchased in 1845 (Robels 204 I. along with color plate VII). The part of the farm and its trees placed back right somewhat changed. The symbolic griffin in the air mentioned by Robels visible neither on the illustration there nor here in the engraving.
