Teniers II, David (Antwerp 1610 – Brussels 1690). The Bagpiper. Behind him at the table peasant reading a letter or document with much joy. Steel engraving by William French (c. 1815 – East Grinstead 1898). 3rd quarter of the 19th century. 16.8 x 11.8 cm. – In the broad white margin somewhat foxing.
