
Bril, Paul (? Breda 1553/4 – Rome 1626). Waterfall at Tivoli (?). With two admiring wanderers standing at its wooded foot. Etching, in case supposedly after Bril. C. 17th cent. 15.3 x 20.5 cm.
Cf. Bril’s Amsterdam drawing Bernt IV, 126 with likewise two figurines at the foot, one of which stting. – On light laid paper. – Three sides mostly trimmed to platemark, on the right still with fine little paper margin. – Two small mounting traces on the back.
