Ridinger, Johann Elias (Ulm 1698 – Augsburg 1767). Herons and Wild Cats. In a mountain basin covered with reeds each two herons with spread wings + wild cats. Steel engraving by an anonymous engraver. Ca. 1835. Inscribed: X. / M. E. (erroneously instead of Joh. E.) Ridinger del., otherwise as before in German along with the address of the Art Establishment of the Bibliographical Institute. 19.4 x 21.7 cm.
In the same direction after sheet XV, Thienemann 358 of the set “To the Special Events and Incidents at the Hunt” only transferred on the copper by Martin Elias. – With the 1.5 cm wide white platemark not measured with, as rather more seldom for steel engravings, nevertheless two sides of that (here also two little tears repaired acid-freely) trimmed on the edge
