Ridinger, Johann Elias (Ulm 1698 – Augsburg 1767). A Hound. Standing in full-size before landscape staffage interestingly fixing a gadfly sitting before it. Steel engraving by an anonymous engraver. Ca. 1835. Inscribed as no. XVIII, otherwise without any further letter. Subject/plate size 18.2 x 23.5 cm.
The sympathetic-charming motif in the same direction to Thienemann 734, belonging to the “Neue(n) Thier Reis Büchl” of 1728. – With left-sided stitch margin.
