Ridinger, Johann Elias (Ulm 1698 – Augsburg 1767). French par Force Hounds. Four of them before the stone basin of a park. Etching & engraving. (1738.) Inscribed: J. E. Ridinger fec. et exc. / N. 6., otherwise in German as above. 7¼ × 5⅞ in (18.5 × 15 cm).

I, page 57) 396. – Sheet 6 of the instructive set Design of Several Animals in its first edition with its strong laid paper. – “These plates are much wanted and frequently copied” (Th. 1856). – Margins above & below 6.3-6.5 cm, laterally 2-2.5 cm wide. – At the upper edge still both the two original fine pricks. – Also see the deviating outline design in original size in pen and brown ink from c. 1735.
