In front of a stonewall boring open the earth as if he would press down an enemy as Ridinger describes it separately. Etching + engraving. (1738.) Inscribed: J. E. Ridinger inv. del. fec. et exc. Aug. Vind. / N. 37., title as before. 18.8 x 15.3 cm.

Thienemann + Schwarz 427. – Sheet 37 (in later edition 90) of the “Design of Several Animals, As such after their differentiated Kinds, Actions and Passions” (“These plates are very much wanted and often copied”, Th. 1856). – Fine 1st edition impression with wide margins.
