Ridinger, Johann Elias (Ulm 1698 – Augsburg 1767). Der nach Honig suchende Bæhr (The Bear Looking for Honey). Etching + engraving. (1738.) Inscribed in the plate: J. E. Ridinger inv. fec. et exc. Aug. Vind. / N. 39., title as above. 7¼ × 6¼ in (18.5 × 14.8 cm).

Thienemann + Schwarz 429. – Plate 39 (in later edition 70) of the instructive set Design of Several Animals ( “These plates are much wanted and frequently copied”, Th. 1856). – Wide-margined wonderful impression of the 1st edition.
