
Naples – Dill, Ludwig (Gernsbach, Baden, 1848 – Karlsruhe 1940). Triumphal Arch of King Alfonso I in Naples. Still finely lighted, however below flashes of lightning and thunderclouds. In front two riders, the right of which getting a hold on the skittish left horse’s reins. Wood engraving by Friedrich Weigand (b. Vienna 1842) at Adolf Closs, Stuttgart. (1876.)
