Boetticher II/2, 855. – “Belgian architectural painter … known by works and drawings to art history, especially of his homeland. Several drawings he has lithographed himself.” So the present one, too.
“ The sandstone church (Onze-Lieve-Vrouwkerk) is an excellent example of Demer Gothic, a regional variation of Brabantine High Gothic.
Finest piece of furnishing is the rood screen
from the 16th cent. created in Flamboyant, crowned by a late-Gothic cruzifix ”
