Borkum – Disembarkation Boat. The holiday guests changing from the boat into the high-wheeled wagon waiting in water just up to the horses’ belly. Wood engraving by H. Wagner after Johannes Gehrts (St. Pauli/Hamburg 1855 – Dusseldorf 1921) at Adolf Closs, Stuttgart. (1880/81.) Inscribed in the stock: Joh. Gehrts (18)80 / A. Closs X. I. H. Wagner sc., and typographically per subtext in German as above. 8.8 x 18.7 cm.
