Allart van Everdingen

Alkmaar 1621 – Amsterdam 1675

„ … one of the very best landscapists in his school, as recognized by eighteenth-century Dutch collectors of old master drawings …

First of all, he was one of the most accomplished watercolorists in his school — a landscape equivalent to the master of colorful genre scenes, Adriaen van Ostade. By the mid-eighteenth century he fit right at the top in the esteem of Dutch collectors and connoisseurs, who especially prized his highly finished ‚masterpiece‘ drawings “

“ It came!  My plate [already documented as lost] was delivered and it is in excellent condition. I cannot explain all of the delays or what happened. It is in the original packaging that you described and it was delivered by DHL, not the postal service (as  far as I can tell – it was left on the porch [!!]). So thank you and so glad that this long story has such a nice ending. It was nice dealing with you, thank you for the plate! ”
