“ … I was digging and I found you. I needed to tell you that your collection for whatever reason has brought tears to my eyes. Thank you … I’m not a collector, or I haven’t known myself to be … I was going to sell this (sheet), but I just may have discovered that I’m to keep this for whatever reason. Have you made a collector out of me … For all your devotion, hardwork … I thank you ”

(Mrs. D. H., June 17, 2002)

„ im Internet habe ich in Ihrem Katalog das vorgenannte Werkverzeichnis … gefunden …

Mit Interesse habe ich auch Ihren offenen Brief an die Herausgeber der Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung vom 24.7.2003 gelesen, zumal ich (bei früherer Gelegenheit) … mir … von der Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung den Vorwurf des ‚Kulturglobalisten‘ gefallen lassen mußte … “

(Herr A. G., 8. Dezember 2003)

„ Haben Sie herzlichen Dank für Ihre Rückmeldung … mein Ridinger-Problem ist durch andere Vergleiche vorerst gelöst. Dennoch bin ich sehr positiv überrascht über Ihren professionellen (JayAitchDesign) Internet-Auftritt, den ich sicherlich bald einmal nutzen möchte. Mit besten Grüßen “

(Herr M. M.-P., 17. Januar 2009)

“ I am writing to you to have suggestion from you, the specialist of J.E.Ridinger. I am an art historian … ”

“ Thank you very much for quick response. Your suggestion is so helpful and can correct many erroneous captions which have been attached to the Ridinger’s prints in Japan until now … ”

(Ms. Y. K.-S., 19 + 22 December 2009)

“ map arrived today in very safety conditions. Thanks for the extremely secure and accurate package! Map is very nice and in good condition: I like very much. It has been a pleasure to deal with you. Until to the next time!
P.S.: You can post this very positive comment on your website. ”

(Sign. P. P., 26. November 2011)

“ Thank you so much for that comprehensive background to the above titled (Brierly) print which has intrigued me … ”

(Mr. R. H., July 12, 2014)

“ Thanks a lot for your answer to my request, in such a short time and in such a detail! I’m pleasantly surprised with the fact that you presented me 3 different options! The 2 options … although very tempting (pricewise, extra prints etc) do not interest me, because of the condition of the prints. As a collector I wouldn’t like anything else but the best – the first option. To be absolutely honest with you, I expected the price to be high, but not so much … (It’s a) ‘Museum quality’ piece … Congratulations for the excellent pieces you offer !!! ”

(Mr. L. M., January 12, 2016)

“ The print arrived and the packaging was wonderful – thank you for your care with this item! The print is lovely … If you ever see any other prints of horses like this, please let me know … ”

“ Hello Jan and thank you for the wonderful email, I do speak German, though … My co-author is German, so if you could send the brochure I am sure that the information will be appreciated and used properly … Again, thank you for the wonderful service and communication, and please keep me in mind if other … horse prints come in ”

(Mrs. K. K. S., April 5 & 13 resp., 2016)

“ the book has arrived! Many thanks for your helpfulness! Have a nice day, and kind regards ”

(Mr. S. S., May 9, 2016)

„ soeben wurde die (Ridinger-)Gams zugestellt - unversehrt. Herzlichen Dank für die prompte und professionelle Abwicklung “

(Herr G. R., 29. Juli 2016)

And how does niemeyer’s react if they think an item may ultimately not come up to the customer’s expectation ?

“ Yet I am not sure if I should suggest you purchasing this copy as I think you are – and rightly so – quite quality-aware about these things. Frankly, while optically appearing fine again the overall state of preservation is not up to our own general standard as also reflected by its price tag and the piece came into stock here only as part of a larger purchase. It probably would be in the better interest of both of us to wait for a perfect copy coming along.
Looking forward to hearing from you again, best regards … ”
