Confession, The. Reverend in the confessional behind curtain folded back, before of it two women, one praying, the other confessing. Right of that on a pew beneath the sarcophagus of pope Paul II a wanderer or herdsman sorrowfully says the rosary, next to him woman with child. Wood engraving after a watercolor by Ludwig Passini (Vienna 1832 – Venice 1903) for Adolf Closs in Stuttgart. (1876.) Inscribed: L. Passini 1870, otherwise in German as before. 4⅞ × 7 in (12.3 × 17.8 cm).
