Guercino (= Giovanni Francesco Barbieri, Cento, Ferrara, 1591 – Bologna 1666). Christ crowned. Christ, the bound hands holding the broken stick, gets the crown of thorns pressed into his forehead by an armoured hangman. On the left Pilatus.
