(Isaac Adolphe) Crémieux, lawyer (defending counsel of i. a. the socialist publicist and historian Louis Blanc) and politician, founder of the “Alliance Israélite universelle” who especially deserved well of the Jews in Algiers, shown as “Plante Grasse / Cactus Crémiosus” in his whole stoutness casting a bright shadow.
