Johann Elias Ridinger, The Water Hunt

Ridinger, Johann Elias (Ulm 1698 – Augsburg 1767). La Chasse dans l’eau. The Water Hunt. Stags driven into a river, expected by the hunting party on their anchored hunting boat. In two further boats helpers with hook poles to fetch the killed royals. On the bank front left group of beaters in richly gesturing action, set back on the right a group of mounted horsemen & two elegant carriages behind

hunting carriage with six horses for the transport of the game .
