Ridinger, Johann Elias (Ulm 1698 – Augsburg 1767). (The Beaver.) Pressed by four hounds he shows his mighty teeth. Etching + engraving. (1761.) Inscribed: J. El. Ridinger inv. del. Sc. et exc. A. V. 11⅜ × 10 in (28.8 × 25.3 cm).

Thienemann + Schwarz 153. – Sheet 15 of “The Fair Game hounded by Several Kinds of the Hounds”. – With instructive and detailed caption giving especially the different races suitable to that. – Silver-toned impression not later than from the high-grade Engelbrecht edition about 1824 on the known little clouded fine paper here watermarked “G.R.”. – With wide margins of 8 + 4.3 cm resp. above and below and 3-4.4 cm for the sides.
