Ridinger, Johann Elias (Ulm 1698 – Augsburg 1767). Tiger Playing with the Prey. Leopard (sic!; “ … since one still not knew to distinguish correctly between leopards and tigers”, B. Vignier 1676) in a cave, playing catlike with the dead cock. Etching with engraving. (1738.) Inscribed: J. E. Ridinger inv. fec. et exc. A.V. / N. 33., title in German as above. 7⅜ × 5¾ in (18.6 × 14.7 cm).
