Inscribed: within the subject Lindemann pinx., otherwise typographically in German as above. 3⅜ × 6 in (8.6 × 15.4 cm). – L.-F. was pupil of his adoptive father C. L. Frommel in Karlsruhe with subsequent studies in Munich (Rottmann) and Paris. Following his stay at Rome 1845/49 the final emigration in 1856. – On both sides continuous impressions by a traveler from the north.
