View at crossing and wall of the choir together with side chapel of the once mighty Premonstratensian convent at Oppenau, secularized in 1802, and 1804 destroyed by fire caused by a bolt of lightning on founder’s day. Wood engraving by F. Bauer after Richard Püttner (Wurzen 1842 – Munich 1913) for Adolf Closs, Stuttgart. C. 1875/76. Inscribed: R. Püttner (in reverse) / X. I. A. Closs. F. Bauer sc., otherwise in German as above. 6¼-8 × 7⅜ in (15.9-20.3 × 18.7 cm). – Decidedly painterly sujet.
